Meet the Instructors

Bonnie Thompson and Bevery Boyer have 40 years of teaching experience combined and experience with 90 cadaver dissections.

BONNIE THOMPSON, RMT, CNMT, CNB, is a dynamic presenter with a keen ability to transfer information to the student along with a stimulating enthusiasm for learning.

She was first exposed to dissection in 1993 when she attended a class at Lutheran Hospital in Lakewood. When the opportunity arose for her to participate in a 6 day intensive workshop with Gill Hedley in 1995 she jumped at the chance to see first hand how the human body is put together. Since that time she has delved into the modality of dissection in order to advance her knowledge of anatomy and to serve her patients better.

There have been many cases in her practice that she has had the opportunity to successfully work on patients who have spent years with other practitioners and have not been able to find an answer for their ailment. She accredits her confidence and understanding of anatomy to the hours and hours she has spent in the dissection lab.

A graduate of the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy, Bonnie has been a licensed massage therapist since 1987 and conducts her NMT practice in Colorado Springs. In her clinical setting, she integrates craniosacral, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release and neuromuscular therapy to meet the needs of her patients. She successfully completed the Certification for Bodyworkers Course and is also a Certified Fitness Trainer as well as an Instructor of NMT seminars.

In recent years, Bonnie has expanded her private practice into a multidisciplinary clinic which associates several manual practitioners who incorporate many modalities of integrative techniques to better serve the patient.

Her breadth of knowledge and practical experience in the fields of anatomy and neuromuscular therapy, combined with her zest for teaching and sharing information, is evidenced in her passionate presentations in any setting.

BEVERLY BOYER, RMT has shared her passion of massage therapy and alternative health care since becoming an Instructor at the Central Ohio School of Massage in 1993.  She feels blessed to partner in Peak Research Institute, LLC for her personal growth towards bringing the balance of science based evidence and to support the effects of skilled human touch.

Currently, Bev is a registered massage therapist in the state of Colorado and works as a therapist at Longmont United Hospital at the Health Center of Integrative Therapies.  As co-owner of Peak Research Institute, LLC, she hopes to create and provide an educational opportunity for others to understand the human form through our own true nature.

She entered the holistic health field at age 19 while working in a chiropractic office.  She developed into a chiropractic assistant and began to work with individuals in pain on a one on one basis.  Understanding the benefits of manipulative therapy and conjunctive therapies as massage therapy, Bev soon sought out her educational quest to become a therapist.

Her experiences range from being involved on many different levels as a therapist and educator.  She served as an Instructor at the Central Ohio School of Massage, Adjunct Faculty for the Columbus State Community College in Columbus Ohio, Associate Faculty and Faculty Chair for the Boulder College of Massage Therapy along with curriculum development with Cortiva Education and served as the Clinic Director for the Broomfield Campus along with Executive Director for the Anatomy in Clay, Centers in Boulder.  Most recently, she was an Instructor for the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy and quickly developed into the Directors Team, recruiting faculty and serving as Acting Director while teaching in Costa Rica.

Bev was first introduced to cadaver study through one of her students who knew  of an anatomy professor at the Ohio State University.  Her realization, as a therapist, of the benefits of cadaver studies began her quest to know what really is beneath the skin.  During her Faculty Chair position at Boulder College of Massage Therapy, she created a faculty development program in a cadaver study.  The faculty, along with Bev entered into a three month study working with the Laboratory of Anatomical Enlightenment in Boulder, Colorado.  The faculty was able to learn dissection and create their own anatomy education that proved useful in self growth and in the classroom.  Bev was able to continue her own study with the lab and was exposed to the teachings of many great anatomists.

Bev opens Peak Research Institute, LLC  to any and all who seek the ability to learn.
